ALX Guest Policy

Acknowledgement: The Austin Lindy Exchange is primarily a social dancing event. There will be no classes, workshops or private lessons held at this event. There may be a few select performances (and competitions) but the focus will always be on social dancing. 

Refunds: There are no refunds allowed for Austin Lindy Exchange. Passes can be sold and transferred to another attendee. Passes may also be transferred to a following year provided sufficient notice is given. Email committee@austinlindyexchange.org to request a transfer.

Food Policy: We provide food service at various times during the event. We do try to keep allergies in mind but we cannot guarantee to accommodate any specific allergic need. Food is served on a first come first serve basis. Attendees are welcome to bring food into the venues, but please do clean up after yourself.

Safety: By purchasing a ticket to this event you recognize that dancing can be strenuous actively and requires a degree of physical fitness. There is an inherent risk to dancing on a social floor. The Austin Lindy Exchange is not responsible for any injury that occurs.

Physical Belongings: Please keep an eye on your physical belongings. The Austin Lindy Exchange is not responsible for any loss or theft that occurs. We do keep a lost and found for items that have been left in the building.

Media Release: By purchasing a ticket at this event you are agreeing to allow any photos or videos of you to be used for marketing and promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included in this material, you should email committee@austinlindyexchange.org.

Code of Conduct:

  • Be respectful towards others on the dance floor

  • No aerials or low dips are allowed

  • Be mindful of the space around you and apologize if you bump into someone

  • A person may decline a dance for any reason at any time

  • Harassment, physical and verbal abuse will not be tolerated

  • Guests who give unwanted attention will be given a warning and then be asked to leave if the behavior continues
